After hosting four students from Bard College, New York, the Filmz-Talents program is accepting students from French Universities. Filmz Talents is a paid internship program.
The first edition was coordinated by Maria do Mar Guinle e Robert Glasscot. The selected team from Bard was formed by Hakima Alem, Emanuel Castro, Stela Gatti and Julie Reed, who worked during the production of the feature film MIÚCHA, the voice of Bossa Nova.
Hakima Alem was born in Ethiopia and raised in New York City. She received a bachelor's degree in written arts from Bard College in 2021 where she studied Film and Literature. At FILMZ Hakima assisted in editing of photographs. Emanuel Castro was born in Vitória, Brazil, and is a theater major, he worked as a production assistant and translator. Stella Gatti, a Film and Electronic Arts graduate, worked as an assistant editor. The trio was supervised by the film editor and professor from University Paul Valéry Montpellier at Paris 8, Isabel Castro. Julie Reed, also a Film and Electronic Arts graduate, worked in animation under the supervision of the experienced motion designer Guilherme Hoffmann.
The second edition of the FILMZ Talent Program is supervised by Fabiola Salle-Ang and is held from December 2021 to June 2022. Three new students from French universities have been selected for their artistic and technical abilities.
Lara Cleret is a film student at University at Paris 8 and worked as an assistant editor with film editor co-writer Daniela Ramalho in LGBTQ film Madeleine à Paris and Produced by FILMZ. Dévra Taboada came from Normandy's professional education program at UI Designer. Dévra has a BA in Cinema Studies from SENAC São Paulo University, and is participating in the development of our company’s website. Rafaela Guimarães is a student from the Université Gustave Eiffel, and is working under the supervision of director and writer Liliane Mutti in the development of the feature film La Piñata.
For the third edition, which will be held from September to November 2022, candidates must be at least 18 years old and must speak at least two of our four working languages: French, English, Portuguese or Spanish. All students interested in the FILMZ-TALENTS PROGRAM
